RPA to participate in #C4CT Summit this week
Carl Eller, President and Founder of the NFL Retired Players Association, announced the NFL RPA will be participating in the #C4CT Concussion Awareness Summit on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the United Nations Building in New York City.
NFL RPA partnership with Starkey Hearing Foundation -
In March 2014, the NFL RPA will be travelling to Africa with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to deliver the gift of hearing to those in need.
The Starkey Hearing Foundation travels the globe, delivering the transformative gift of hearing to people in need. Improving and connecting lives one by one. Community by community. Continent by continent.
Earlier this year, NFL RPA President Carl Eller, presented "Game Plan II" to several of the incoming Viking rookies. Game Plan II is a comprehensive course designed to assist athletes prepare for life after football. The Retired Players Association is dedicated to providing powerful national advocacy and collegial support for retired professional football players, their families and the community at large. The RPA’s specific area of focus is to raise awareness and funding in support of medical research in the areas of Alzheimer’s and ALS, particularly as it relates to repeated head trauma. The RPA provides financial assistance for members suffering from these illnesses. Additionally, the RPA lobbies nationally for more comprehensive medical benefits for retired athletes.
